(Content Note: This film features mature content) MAKOTO is a family action-drama that follows Makoto, a young aspiring artist who spends his time sketching instead of helping his mother, Seiko, at their sushi restaurant. As Seiko worries about his future and urges him to take more responsibility, Makoto struggles to reconcile his creative ambitions with the expectations of the family business. When two men enter the restaurant and a robbery suddenly unfolds, Makoto is forced to act. Through courage, quick thinking, and the creative spirit he has been trying to prove all along, he helps protect his mother and begins to show how his artistic vision can belong within the restaurant’s future.
