Niki Welge, Film Commissioner, Florida Office of Film and Entertainment, joins the discussion about Florida Film and Entertainment industry. Niki has served as the Film Commissioner for the Office of Film and Entertainment since August 2014. As Commissioner, she is responsible for leading the efforts to build, expand, and retain the film, television, and digital media entertainment industry sector which is a key growth sector for the state.
Before being named Commissioner, she served in several capacities in the office for more than 10 years, including as the Interim Film Commissioner, Production Coordinator and Communications Coordinator. Ms. Welge received her bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University, is a Florida Certified Contract Manager, and is a member of the Association of Film Commissioners International and Women in Film and Television - Florida.
